Our First Event: Training 72 Nursing Students and Professionals

Our journey began with a milestone we are proud to share: completing the AI & Digital Skills for Professional Nursing Practice training programme at the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale.

Over 10 days, GOFA Technologies trained 72 nursing students and professional nurses, with a focus on practical digital competencies relevant to modern healthcare environments.

Practical skills at the centre

The programme brought together everyday productivity tools and AI integration, with sessions focused on:

• Professional documentation using Microsoft Word and AI integration.
• Clinical data analysis using Microsoft Excel and AI integration.
• Presentation and reporting using Microsoft PowerPoint and AI integration.
• Responsible and ethical use of AI in academic and clinical contexts.
• Digital organisation, cloud storage, and productivity tools.
• LinkedIn optimisation and digital career readiness.

Learning through participation

What made this first event especially meaningful was the engagement, curiosity, and commitment of the participants. Conversations about AI ethics, clinical responsibility, and professional development became an important part of the learning experience.
